. . . "I cannot break through the wall by battering my head against it if I really have not the strength to knock it down, but I am not going to be reconciled to it simply because it is a stone wall and I have not the strength" . . .

<concept> v1.55

<noframes> is published periodically in electronic format from Canada via the world wide web. It is intended to provide space for writers, visual artists and programmers to experiment with new ideas using the web medium.

Contributors will be offered a non-commercial format to present new work -and their contact info- within a creative, dynamic layout. This publication will present screens that contain quality art and fresh ideas that are: educational; honest; non aggressive (no games, violence or pornography); and eloquent rather than profane.

The layout will be richly illustrated, divided into four main areas of expression.

poetry and magic
featuring a unique blending of passion, in words and pictures that collide with reality to awaken the senses.

parallel dimension
offering an arena for discussing comparative or opposite views on political history, religion, and current events.

val (aka the printer) was born in Canada, and developed a progressive career in the visual communication industry. A passion for good design, and pushing the "techno-logic" made working on the <noframes> project a natural choice. Val teaches digital publishing at a technical school in the middle of Canada, and practices still life on a park bench by the bank of an Eastwardly flowing muddy brown river.
